I’m so thankful for this Tutapona program. Right now, I feel like hugging you all! My heart was still heavy with all of the things I had experienced. One big thing I can say about this program - I have been set free!

There are so many meaningful things that I have learned that help me relate to my life as a widow. Tutapona taught me about motivational challenges, and to be able to move through whatever I was facing. They shared the story of two boys - one who was determined to focus on the future because he wanted to change his life and improve the life of his family. Yet his brother was not. He said, “Let me just go back”.

When I heard that story it reminded me so much of my life. I kept thinking of my children, especially my son. I thought, “If I’m going to make it as a widow, what do I need to do?” So, after that story, I came home and shared my ideas with my son, and we were so encouraged. We became focused on what is next and we are determined that we will make it.

I loved the forgiveness sessions. As widows, we carry a lot of things. I was carrying so much. But what Tutapona taught us about forgiveness - it helped set me free and brought unity in my family. When the story about Joseph was shared, I saw how he struggled with forgiving his brothers, but eventually, he overcame! When you want to climb a tree, you start from the ground, and then you slowly go upwards. For me, I’m beginning from the ground.

I am determined that I will continue to improve my situation, this is my focus. Because of your support, I know we will make it. These programs have encouraged us so much, and you can see the difference they have made. We are living for our future.

I want to pass on the wisdom and words I have learned to the children in my life.  I want you to continue praying with us so that we can continue to grow and succeed.
