Tutapona in The Middle East
In 2016, Tutapona expanded operations to address the needs of Refugees and Internally Displaced People (IDP) in the Middle East. Our office is based in Duhok, Kurdistan, Northern Iraq with a team of 9 staff working out of Kabarto IDP Camp, working with Yazidi people, a religious minority who have endured over 70 genocides against them, most recently at the hands of ISIS, and Domiz Camp for Syrian Refugees fleeing the ongoing war in Syria.
In Kurdistan, we are currently running GROW, our adult curriculum, and the Heroes Journey, our children’s programming.
