My name is Daryna, and I am 29 years old. Before the war, I lived in a little town in the Donetsk region. I participated in the local theater, and we put on different performances. I loved it there, but after a month of war we realized that we could not stay any longer - it was too dangerous. We had to go. Eventually, we came to Lviv, as my husband had the possibility of working here. I could never have imagined that we would be in this city for such a long time.
There have been a lot of changes in my life. We {came to Lviv} because of the war and left many things behind. I have become a mother during this time as well. One of the goals I have set for myself is to finish things that I start. It is a good habit! Even when I began the GROW program, I was determined to see it through to the end. It has made me so happy to accomplish this!
I have learned that it is OK not to be a perfect mother. Because I love my children and try to do what is best for them - that is enough. There are many hard things in our lives, but we are becoming resilient and that will help me and my children in the future. Now, I am able to be grateful that we are here, even though it is not my home. The most important thing is we are together, we are a family, and we are alive.
Because of the generosity of people like you, mothers like Daryna have found resilience, and are working for their futures. BUT there are thousands of people with stories that are yet to end with hope. Help Tutapona provide that hope and healing by donating today.
